Matthew's Story
High School was something. If I could do it all over again I would - w/some major changes. But who wouldn't?
After graduating I did the requisite college, and ended up with a BA in Political Science. I wasn't a serious student in the 90s, and my professional and personal route reflected this - not going from point A to point B, but instead after a series of blind curves, dead ends and the like - finding myself working IT for The Ohio State University Medical Center.
I got to know quite a few doctors and nurses in that capacity which led me to eventually go back to school.

we're 20+ years out. I still live in Ohio and from time to time might run into someone from school, but surprisingly not very often.
A part of me thinks I might be better suited to the West Coast - (not in the desert), but I've got a lot of ties that keep me here. And Columbus isn't all that bad if you can stomach the endless strip malls and knuckle heads that you'd be sure to find almost any where else in America.
That said I'm largely content these days and am kept busy between the demands of my job as an OR Nurse, those of my two kids, as well as making the most of my free-time when I can get it.
