Matthew's Story
- Life is great. Busy as usual. I miss seeing people from our class. It seems that when I go back to Montgomery County, most of our class has moved away. I have not been able to make a reunion since the 5th year reuinion. I hope to make the 25th, it would be nice to see everyone. From what I heard the 20th reunion was a lot of fun. Isn't it amazing how quickly time has gone by?
- Still Happily married since 8/2/97 to Kim M. Davidson. (Married life keeps getting better every year.) No children except our puppy, born 11/2/07,(Wire Fox Terrier) - "Luke Harley Davidson" who goes to work with me almost every day and sleeps under my desk while I work.
- We have a house in Marmora, NJ (right outside of Ocean City appx. 2.5 miles from the beach). My hobby for the past 10 years has been re-building the house from scratch. Almost finished . . . It has been a fun learning experience. I am still working on my fun project, restoring a 1953 Dodge Pickup.
My wife, Kim, is still the Executive Vice President of Ocean City Home Bank, she serves on several charitable boards.
Community Activites:
- 2005 - Past Master Ocean City Lodge 171 F & AM.
- Past President (2001-2002) of the "Main Street Program" for the City of Ocean City (economic revitalization of the downtown business district).
- Served on the Ocean City Mayor's advisory commitee for the re-construction of the Route 52 causeway (Ocean City 9th Street Bridge, a 2.5 mile mix of road and bridge.) The causeway is being replaced with a span going into Ocean City.
Personal Hobbies and Fun:

- Love seeing people I know.
- Spending time with my nieces and nephews
- Working out.
- Long distance ocean swim races.
- Scuba diving on WWII wrecks off the NJ coast - (when I get the time).
- Running
- Going to the theater and dinning out.
- Doing House projects
- Rebuilding my 1953 Dodge truck.
Education/ Work History:
- Graduated from Temple University with a B.A. dual major in Risk Management and Insurance and Finance. Recipient of the National Association of Surplus Lines Offices scholarship/internship award - selected as one of the top two insurance students nationwide.
- M.B.A. in Finance from the Fox School of Business at Temple University.
- Worked for an insurance consulting firm, as a Risk Management Consultant, and Captive Insurance Company Consultant specializing in Bermuda Captive Insurance Companies during and after graduate school.
- In 1996 went back to Law School, night student - graduated from James E. Beasley School of Law - Temple University in 1999. Recipient of the Nathanal S. Wolfenshon Memorial Scholarship for higest grades in Real Property Law.
- Admitted to Practice Law in Pennsylvania and New Jersey, Federal Tax Court, Eastern District of Pennsylvania, District of New Jersey and the Third Circut Court of Appeals.
- 1999 Opened Law Offices of Matthew R. Davidson in Ocean City, New Jersey. (801 Central Avenue, First Floor, Ocean City, New Jersey 08226) Business Law, Commercial and Residential Real Estate, Commercial, Litigation - State and Federal, Estate Planning and other discrete areas of law.
