James's Story
Life
Hello Class of 83. Well I still live the Bay Area, fortunately I was able to traveling after high school while in the Navy. I spent the first 2 years on an Aircraft Carrier and then went on to become US Navy Seal stationed at SEAL Team 2 for 5 years. While in I traveled to much of Europe and spent a lot of time in and around Mediterranean. I have been married for 22 years to Grace, who has been putting up with me through all my adventures.
I have 3 kids, 20 year old daughter that is playing soccer at CSULA on scholarship and is majoring in Geology, a 19 year old son at De Anza on the soccer team there and works at Starbucks and a 16 year old daughter that goes to Cupertino High School.
Since I have been out I have worked in the IT Industry, Insurance and Sales at start ups. I still have connections in all ...Expand for more
three. I enjoy traveling and have been back to Europe a couple times and have been in 49 of the 50 states so far, Maine being the only one left.
I still have some very close friends from High School and with the exception a few poor decisions which I paid for I wouldnt change a thing. All in all life has been great I thank my parents family and friends for all of it.
Its great to read the successes of my fellow 83ers and I hope to see you all in 2008. Send me a line if you get a chance.

Military
I spent 8 years in the Navy, the first 2 on the USS Forrestal an aircraft carrier out of Jacksonville Florida and then spent that last 5 at SEAL Team Two. It was one of the great experiences of my life and I think that it did not make me who I am but was a result of what I able am capable of.
