Maureen's Story
Life
After I left the "farm" in OK, we spent 6mos living in Bury St. Edmunds, South Anglia, Britain. We then moved to the Eglin AFB area of Northwest Florida, where I finished high school (Niceville '82), went to University of South Alabama in Mobile for 4 quarters, then transferred to University of West Florida in Pensacola. I completed my BS in Marketing w/ Mgmt. minor in 1985, and my MBA in 1987.
I worked as an Adjunct Instructor at UWF for a year after graduation, teaching in the Computer Science department.
I also worked as a freelance Marketing Research Analyst and "Computer consultant"... Turned out ...Expand for more
that I have a talent for the computer world, and I ended up with a career in Information Technology.
I spent 10 years or so working in the Pensacola/Fort Walton Beach area for various companies and government contractors. I then moved to Atlanta in 1998 and worked in Telecom (wireless and DSL, etc.) for 8 more years. After "suffering" thru a 3rd merger in 3 years, I decided to change my workplace focus, and moved into the Pharmaceuticals world. I've been working there for a few months, building a data warehouse for the sales force.
I'm married, with no children, 3 dogs and still read paperbacks by the box!
