Maureen's Story
2/6/10-I guess you could say I blossomed in spirit after I graduated. I was very shy and quiet in high school but climbed out of my shell afterwards. I married right after graduation and divorced in 1978- no kids, waited 10 years and tried the marriage thing again in 1988 and divorced again in 1997-this time with two beautiful kids. A son who is 19 living just around a few corners with his dad and a daughter who is soon to be 18 and living with me in Woodhaven, MI. Stayed downriver and have been a hairdresser for 13 years, then a Realtor for 7 years. I graduated the Medical Assistant program but want to work in the hospital not doctors offices (they dont take M.A's at the local hospitals) and right now just...Expand for more
doing filing and some billing for a trucking company downriver here. Thinking about going back to school for an Ultrasound Tech. certification....not sure yet. I enjoy keeping in touch with old friends. I went to the first 4 or 5 of the reunions and had a blast! I recently joined Facebook (FB) and have connected with lots of the class of "76. Its great! I am hoping to get a few of the FB friends together at Drinks Saloon in Brownstown for burgers and drinks in a week or two. I dont use my married name even though I still have it. Bad time for me and would rather forget that whole portion of my life (not the kids of course)so I am listed as Maureen Martin on Facebook. Look me up...its free to join Facebook.
