Maureen's Story
My first job was at A & W, where I got paid minimum wage to flip burger. What I remember most about it is new friends - and how our pet dogs ADORED me after each shift :-). Now I make big bucks ;-)) as a quasi-computer geek.
Did what some others may have done: college, job, married, kids, divorced, different career. The changes in direction have all brought gifts - marriage brought kids, kids brought unbelievable joy (and even more fun with the addition of grand...Expand for more
kids!!), divorce brought job changes that brought personal and professional growth. Career and job changes brought opportunities to see & experience the world (Ireland, Jerusalem & Tel Aviv, Frankfurt, Hong Kong, Seoul, as well as much of the US (love the mountains and beaches). Though there have been sorrows along the way I'm not sure I'd do much of it differently. I wouldn't be who I am nor have the great kids & grandkids I do without all of what has gone before.
