Maureen's Story
Currently, I am the school secretary at Margaret Heath Elementary School in Baldwin Park. I've been working there for the past 15 years. Up until last year (2007) I was Mada Arellano's secretary; pretty trippy hah? Had I known back in school that she would be my boss I wouldn't have believed it. After 17 years of marriage, I am now divorced with two daughters, 20 and 19, and live in the city of Covina.
Besides Mada, I still keep in touch with Eileen Berumen (now Carras...Expand for more
co), and Jeff Bettess, who also works with the district. Other than that I don't have any other connections with high school classmates.
During my free time I love to sing karaoke. You can catch me singing karaoke on Friday nights at the West Covina El Torito (restaurant row). Singing is my passion. My sister Shirley and her husband Coach Zane also hang out there to sing as well.
