Maureen's Story
Before moving to Fremont, my family lived in Michigan. After graduating from HS, my family moved to Livermore but I went on to work and school in Oakland and later lived in San Francisco for many years. I loved living and working in the City, as well as attending school. I was lucky enough to meet my husband while he was in SF on business, and as fate would have it, he was from my home town and even from my previous high school. Moving back to the Midwest was an adjustment, but I loved it. I worked and traveled with Sports Illustrated, and my last job was for an Architectural Firm in Toledo, Ohio. hores of Lake Erie, and it really is resort living. I have two children....a son Bob and a daughter, Sharon. Bob is an electrical engineer like his dad (went to Michigan State), Sharon is a high school art and art history teacher and illustrator. I have two grandchildren.....Thomas (2) and Alivia Grace. What fun!!. Bob and I travel all over the world now that we both have retired. Love Florida in the winter, Europe in the spring. . Love golf, boating, swimming in my pool, bicycling, walking, antiques and wine collecting (we have a wine cellar...even in Michigan we love good wine!) Life has been very, very good.
