Mavis's Story

I was the quiet, shy little girl. Boy have I grown out of that. I married Glen Padgett in 1972 and we are still together. We have one son, Ricky, who is 41 now. st north of Andalusia. I went on to earn my teaching degree (BS) from Troy State University, and my masters from AUM. I have been teaching the 3rd grade for the past 17 years. I have taught other grades but the 3rd is my favorite. In fact this will be my last year of teaching. I plan on retiring at the end of this school year.
