Maxine's Story
Life
since leaving Pacifica I have been married, had 3 children, then divorced. It was a very rough and abusive time in my life. Never knowing this abuse happened before marriage, because we never heard of it in our family. If ever I could go back in time and start over I would go back to when I was 13 yrs old and know what I know now. There are somethings I would never change and a lot I would.
Although I have returned to Pacifica several times for visits I have not returned there to live. My family has spread all over Ca, Nv, Tx and Fla, for more info write and ask questions. There may be some info I, or my sisters might have to help someone out there. Lord knows, always manage to return to the ocean. A calling deep inside me? Perhaps someday I would love to live by the ocean again?
My only regret while going to school in Pacifica is no one ever really got to know me.No one knows the shoes I walked in, nor did anyone try to know me. I have always been the quiet one in the family. I liked everyone but was different, therefore no bonding or lasting friendships came from school years. Sad to say.
I would like to meet and become friends with my past. The door is always open, all it takes is to walk in.
Life has not been easy for me...Expand for more
. Some bad choices made in life has affected my life in both good and bad ways. I guess I have always been a softie and let my heart lead me. Bad bad thing to do. I had to get hard in life to get through a lot of downfalls. Not too hard tho, I am still a softie with reservations.
Thankfully! I returned to school and became a nurse. I now am with a significant other, living in Texas and loving it. I am proud to say I have 8 Grandchildren and two Great-Grandsons and a Great Granddaughter. Now my life has settled down and I am quite happy. I have a wonderful man in my life to share all the ups and downs. We struggle and strive as everyone does but we do it together. Eric is a truck driver and I had been on the truck with him for 6 yrs. A lot of fun traveling around the country. Only drawback is you don't always have time to really see the sights. We are back in Abilene,Tx where I have always felt at home. Eric has had a job promotion to Fleet Manager/ Dispatcher. He still has a CDL and I doubt he will ever give that up, lol.
I am so looking forward to the 2011 Fog Fest. It will be the first time in over 20 Something years my sisters and I have all been together. Hope to see other people I used to know and they come say hi and chat.
