Maxine's Story
It has been a long time since High School miss my buddies Wilma Bailey and Janie Owens.
I haven't ventured far from Salyersville. I live outside of Lexington, KY.
Love being close to the family.
I have been with the working at the same company for 26 years. It has been an interesting job.
I have visted several states and been outside the US to Mexico, Canada, St Croix,Bahamas and Scotland. I have been to Alaska 3 times and still haven't seen it all. Would love to travel to some other countries but, I guess that will have to wait until retirement. The best part of traveling is coming back home. I love to see the new places but I am always happy to be back in KY. Its amazing when you travel at how quickly people pick up on the KY accent. I get a kick out of it.
I am married and have one son (33) and two grandsons (12 & 10). I really enjoy bein...Expand for more
g with them.
Our family has gone through some rough times in the past 3 years. Lost our brother Chalmer to Lung Cancer. Still have times of feeling completely lost without him to answer some of my questions. In Nov we got more devasting news our brother Chester B has thymus cancer. He started treatment this week. We just have to keep the faith and continue praying.
I love reading it is a great pastime for me. Some of my favorite authors are James Patterson, Harlan Coben, Patricia Cromwell. I read more mysteries but, will read about any kind of book. Love going to concerts and festivals. My husband and I have gotten into the blues and go to a lot of the festivals.
It is amazing how time flies. I haven't seen any of our classmates since the 20th year class reunion. Would love to hear from any of you. Jog my memory with some good memories.
