May's Story
Life
If you remember me at all, you remember me as 'Mabel'. I always hated that name.
Married twice, divorced twice. Two kids, both of whom are heroin addicts, struggling to get clean. Stage IV breast cancer right now, with tumor in sternum. Retired August 2005 from career as disability/mental health advocate, but returned to part-time work June 2006. Then I was asked to serve as interim executive director at the advocacy agency I worked for several years ago. So I'm doing that now, really enjoying it.

for god knows what reason. In addition to the cats, we have a 14-year-old blind former guide dog, a lab named Obie. My little b*tch Luna kitty is the alpha, and Obie's the omega. The vet doesn't understand what I see in her. She shows the vet and her staff no mercy at infrequent appointments.
Spent several years playing concertina in a little British Isles and American traditional/folk group. That's the answer to "what do you always wish you had done?" I did it. Now I'm trying the visual arts. I'm bad but I'm having fun.
Life is wonderful. I'm glad I'm here!
