Lisa's Story
Life
I married soon after graduating. My husband was in the military, so there was quite a bit of moving around, but much less than some other military families. We have now been married 21 years, have three children and a dog. I never really desired more education, but I am currently in school to get a degree in education.
Workplace
I have held several jobs, from retail, to check collections, to secretary to finally education. I found I love working with children (I volunteered for 5 years in an elementary school, assisting children with delayed reading skills as well as helping staff & faculty). r, I love the feeling when a teacher/instructor/administrator says, "I know you know how to do this..." or "I know there has to be a way to do this..." regarding computers. My ultimate goal is to educate the educators in the best way to utilize a computer in their classroom/school and not see this machine as an intimidating monster!
Military
Although I have never served in the military myself, I married the military. I have to say that the friendships made whenever Uncle Sam moved us have proven priceless. There are some places I wouldn't want to return to (Arkansas) but close friends in Pennsylvania, Texas, and Colorado make the moves worthwhile!
