Miya's Story
Hi to anyone who may be curious about me,basically in a short synopsis:
1971 married Mark Lorge of the Lorge triplets. Had five kids with him, 3 girls then two boys. Divorced in 1983. Married Brian Weber, yours and mine family - never had any kids together except our mini dachshund 'Hope'. Raised 8 kids together. I retired from Placer County as a Probation Officer in 2003. Divorced Brian, but he couldn't live with out me and followed me to Oklahoma where I now live on the Osage Indian Reservation with my 'People'. We are expecting our 14th grandchild in April (13 & 14 -my daughter Vanessa is having twin girls). I have survived a flood that wiped out my home. Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma of which I am the longest 100% remission for a monoclonal anibody in the world (Rituxan- one course in the fall of 1995!)
I believe the worst day alive is better than the best day dead! Every cloud has a silver lining and ...Expand for more
the glass is always half-full never half-empty!
I believe in doing good to humanity and my children have carried on that conviction. (If you believe in helping people check out projectenlighten.org, an NGO my daughter Olivia started with her fiance Asad to help children affected by landmines we (USA) manufactured and were detonated post war in Cambodia.
I live simply, I choose to. Material possessions are not that important. Excess doesn't equal happiness. Helping others does.
Honesty and integrity are barometers for good parenting outcomes. When I leave this world I hope it is a better place than when I got here because my legacy is my children and I hope I taught them to be good people and to 'pay it forward' I love that!
P.S. - if I ever did wrong by any of you who may have read this, please accept my apologies, my journey has made me realize so much and I have matured greatly these many years.
