Life
What do you say about yourself that sounds like you really did something exciting and cool after high school? McFarlane became a brain surgeon. That sounds good. Not. Well...I graduated from Woburn C I (finally) and got into the music business full time. I spent about 10 years doing that, then decided to try being a business owner. That was interesting, but...then I went back to school. Forever. In the end, I managed to receive 2 degrees in computer science and accounting. I still continued to play in the music business part-time. And, got married had kids, moved to the United States with my wife (she's the American, not me), bought a house in the State of Maryland. Where is that? Try Baltimore Orioles land. And now, I have a "day gig" as a Chief Financial Officer for a Washington, DC firm. I work about 3 blocks from the White House. How strange is that? Weird. I play in two bands. One is a 9-piece band (soon to become a 7-piece deal; too many humans!) that I also manage, and the other is a 4-piece rock quartet. The bigger group plays corporate events and weddings. See wa...Expand for more
shingtontalent and click on "bands"; or something like that. The band is called "Express" on the website. Yes, that is yours truly on the right with the dark sunglasses. Yes, I wear glasses so I can see. That sucks, but what can you do... The smaller group plays some private stuff and nightclubs. Lots of fun & money.... Anyway, a brief synopsis of life after high school. I still enjoy the Argos and the CFL when I get a chance to see a game down here. Yes, the CFL can be found on TV even this far south! I play a little golf, do a little snow skiing, (they make tons of fake snow down here) swim and snorkel a lot.... What else? I didn't go bald! Ha ha. That's important. Still a long-haired nut, having fun in this world.... oh...still love hockey and I'm a huge fan of the Washington Capitals (sorry Leafs). I have season tickets which is just a ton of fun to see Alex Ovechkin & all. The world's greatest hockey player! (after Wayne G of course!) And, I still keep in touch with some friends from Woburn, and still make trips up north to Algonquin for camping and canoeing.
