Mearl's Story
After I graduated, I hung around New Haven for a year. Then I decided to join the Marines. I spent
10 1/2 years in the Marines. While in the Marines
I had the opportunity to see many places in the
Far East. It was a great experience. I also got
to play football and softball. While I was stationed
in California I played on the All-Marine team for the
West Coast. After I decided to leave the Marines, I
went to work in the food industry. Moved back to
Fort Wayne...Expand for more
and raised my family. I also got the
opportunity to watch my brother David play
professional baseball for a time. I have recently
moved to Noblesville, Indiana which is just north
of Indianapolis. My current occupation keeps me
busy traveling which I love to do. I have two wonderful kids. One lives in North Carolina, as a
school teacher. The other one lives in Indianapolis
as a computer programmer.
