Megan's Story

Life I am living and working in Greene County. Its out near Charlottesville, in the mountains. It is absolutely beautiful but reminds me too much of South Hill. I miss Richmond and the business of the city. School I don't think I would have changed too much from my early school days, maybe would have been less quiet and reserved but thats just me. I will never forget the friends I made and the ones that were truly there for me. I had a rough high school years, people were mean and rude but I cant change them, they chose to be that way. I guess growing up in a small town does that to you. There were WAY too many cliques and people who thought they were better than everyone else. I am SO glad thats over and I have gotten away. I am still the same...Expand for more
old me, take it or leave it! College Well I am finished with college finally, five years was more than enough for me. I got my bachelors in Psychology and Sociology in Dec 02 and my masters of education in counselor education in May 05. College was WAY too expenisve and would have been much more enjoyable if I could have taught the classes!! Workplace Well, I finally have a decent job. I am a middle school counselor in Greene County. I make pretty good money, much more money than Mecklenburg was willing to pay, which makes little since because Greene is much smaller than Mecklenburg. Oh Well. I do have my heart set on working with elementary kids, then getting my LPC. I just needed a job for now. I cant afford to keep letting the bills pile up!!
