Meggan's Story
I hope everyone reading this is happy and well.
I married my husband, Johnny, in 1995 - we have four children (Brady is 9 years old, Brannon is 8, Amelia is 5 and Ayden is 3). I am fortunate enough to stay home with my kiddos, and, like most moms, I stay busy driving them to and from school, karate, ballet, and basketball practice.
We love living at the lake; the older boys swim like fish and my younger two aren't far behind. I have one child I suspect has an as-yet-undiagnosed disorder - Obsessed With Bugs! It's bad enough to watch him catch them with his bare hands, but what I don't see is so much worse - like sometimes, I accidentally wash them! My husband says I should check pockets before I do the laundry, but I just can't. I've seen what he puts in his pockets. I'd rather just wash them and then fish ...Expand for more
them out of my washer wearing my rubber gloves. Yuk!
In my free time (haha) I design for crafting publications, and have my own book of children's crafts coming out later this year.
In the past couple of years I've traveled to Orlando to give seminars on crafting with children, taught small groups how to make easy art projects, and this summer I'll fly to Chicago to display some of my designs for the Craft and Hobby industry.
Among other commitments, like karate three days a week, we're squeezing a dental convention, three tri-state-area basketball camps, one huge dance recital, golf camp, a family vacation to the beach, and building a satellite home into our busy summer.
I've enjoyed reading up on Pawhuska graduates lately - it's been a long time. Some stories are surprising; I hope mine made you smile.
