Carol's Story

Motion Picture Industry: I worked for the MPI from 1974-1990 on lots of Movie's and T.V. shows standing in, stunts, body inserts.... my legs and hands, and during Hiates I would do extra work and Under Cover work for stores to catch shoplifters. I had a great time working behind camera with good crews on the lighting and director's for all the studios around L.A. County. In 1985 I was a seamstress for a POLICE UNIFORM store while working for the movie industry I worked it during Hiates from the movie industry and on weekends in Glendora that has been closed down for many years now... it was owned by 3 LA Deputy Sheriffs. After that store closed down in Sept. 1986. I did UNDERCOVER SECURITY work for back then Thrifty's Drug stores and Big 5 sporting good stores to arrest shop lifters I was always interested in Law Enforcement and I would always go on ride alongs in the Watts area and East L.A. with the Deputys that owned the store that I was a seamstress for, I did that along with working in the movie industry from 10/1986-1989. I worked two jobs I would work ...Expand for more
doing the UNDERCOVER ON WEEKENDS AND WHEN MY SHOWS WERE ON HIATES. In 1990 I was on a show standing in on Uncle Buck at Universal Studios it was a T.V. series and in the end of 1990 the USPS notified me for employment after I took the test to work for them so I left the Movie Industry :o( and went full time hard labor :o) for the USPS as a Mail Carrier. "Going Postal anyone" LOL!! well I felt like it a few times due to bad management in the postal offices :o( it was hard labor compared to the Movie Industry but I really enjoyed meeting all my customers that came out to greet me when I would be delivering their mail. At Lakewood High School my craziest memories was when a few of the Lancerettes me included since I was also a Lancerette in the middle of the night went to coach Fords home and papered the whole huge front yard with toilet paper in the winter time after we won the game to take us to CIF. I also baked a huge choc. chip cookie and put it on his front pourch with a huge red and white bow that is the school colors..... those days were fun times.
