Mel's Story
After HS I wasted a quarter at the U and went into the Marines in January of 64. Went to Viet Nam in 1966 for 14 months and got out in Jan 68. Went back to school in September of 68 and went to work for the Mn Dept of Corrections as a counselor at the women's prison in Shakopee. Got married in 73, Divorced in 76. vice in 1984. Currently working at the MSP Airport post office 5 days a week. Was active in Community Athletics in Burnsville and coached there for 36 years. Spearheaded the construction of a youth football field that was named after me in 2005. As of today. April 1st 2017. I am still working and still married, Retirement is down the road as long as I can do my job and keep busy,
