Melani's Story
HMMM, my story, eh? Thumper and I were married in June of 1994, Raevyn was born in August of 1995, Taylore in June of 1998 and Kylee in 2001. We have three girls cuz we don't want four and we ran out of options for hair color-Pat Hayes pointed out I'm like a lab, I don't think he meant that I'm a B---- but who knows. The easy times are over, Thump will have to keep the shotgun handy for the next 10 years! My day job is working as a paraeducator with Vanessa's son--best gig ever. I take classes online, will have my AA this summer and will continue on to get my teaching certificate. I absolutely love my job and working with the kids. I still moonlight as a waitress cuz I freakin rock-can't help it my crazy little mind thrives on it. I do keep it to just two restaurants, said no to the third, just couldn't see how I could fit in more on my schedule. Go me...Expand for more

I get such a kick when I fill out surveys about what I do in my spare time, what I do for leisure--what exactly is that? Anyone with kids knows that most of your spare time is spent cleaning, cooking, mediating arguements, helping with homework, and now that Raevyn is in 8th grade, keeping tabs on her is a full time job in itself. So, I guess for leisure I like to take a bath, listen to my mp3 player, read and hope that Thumper stops any fights or that the music and water will drown them out. Questions about movies crack me up, too. I never go to the video store, Thumper does and usually brings back a movie we've already seen or something very stupid that neither of us can watch. Not that it really matters, who can watch a whole movie with kids in the house and if the kids aren't in the house who watches a movie?
