Melanie's Story
The question is "how do you hope old friends remember you"? I hope they CAN remember me-as in some of my friends, myself included, were wild as March hares! I consider myself lucky to be alive!
My favorite way to relax is on my back deck watching the sun go down with an adult beverage.
If I could move anywhere: local-the coast. Abroad: France-it's beautiful according to my husband who has been a couple of times while buying and selling airplanes. I wouldn't know-I don't go anywhere! Maybe after the girls are grown...
The biggest surprise thus far in my life is that I always thought I wanted boys, got two girls, and never, ever would want a boy now! Another surprise (for me) later in life is that I ran a 13 mile, 25 obstacle Tough Mudder at 43. I was a big chick and never exercised until I was 40. I wish I would have found out how much being healthy and strong meant to me at a younger age.

oom without a short person banging on the door. And sleep. I miss sleep.
I do still hold a Class A Barber license that I don't use anymore. I worked as a practice manager for a veterinary clinic for almost 20 years. I "retired" a few years ago. I taught some group fitness classes, did some private coaching in my home gym for an athlete prepping for a large competition and she placed third, thank you very much. Mainly, I am a wife and mom now but I guess you could say my job is taking care of my parents who both have Alzheimer's Disease. I use my "assertiveness" to be their patient advocate.
I stll have my hair long with bangs-feel like I look stupid any other way. No hair dye for me. I've earned each and every one of my greys and so far they look pretty cool! Still prefer jeans, t shirts. Dressed up to me is my hair not in a pony tail, having on makeup and not wearing gym clothes.
It may be surprising to some that I am covered in tattoos, ride a motorcycle and love to lift weights.
