Melanie's Story
Melanie is from Upland, California. She is married to Johnnie Hendon, UHS class of '70. After graduating from UHS in '72. She later attended Chaffey College. She worked for the Moorpark Unified School District. Music she likes includes Journey, The Beatles, Stones, Bon Jovi, Carol King, Il Divo, Sarah Brightman, Andrea Bocelli. Books she enjoys include suspense novels, authors like James Patterson & Patricia Cornwall to name a few. Movies she likes include Howards End, Somewhere in Time, Silence of the Lambs and various Classic Movies. TV shows she likes include NCIS, Criminal Minds, Finding Your Roots. My hobbies include reading, travel, history and genealogy.

ghter, Gina, was born in 1984. We moved to Moorpark, CA in 1985 where we lived until 2005. When both kids were in college and we decided to move back to Upland, CA after living in Moorpark for a wonderful 20 years. Moorpark was a perfect community to raise a family. The first couple of years in Upland were a bit of an adjustment. But since we live in a golf course community, Johnnie was able to adjust quickly to our move. We've have reacquainted with a few old high school friends in Upland and stay in touch with those special people who became part of our lives in Moorpark.
Our children are both married & have started their families. They have both decided to return to Ventura Co. where they have purchased their first homes.
We have returned to Ventura Co. to be close to our kids and grandkids!
