Melanie's Story
Life
I am married to Justin Cowan, also a 1989 PSHS graduate, and have 2 very handsome wonderful boys, who are a lot like their crazy father! We moved back to Pagosa 6 years ago with jobs at the school district here. I started out as a 5th grade teacher but am now the media specialist, aka librarian, at the Jr. High/Intermediate schools. I have a bachelor's in Elementary Education and a master's in Educational Media. I enjoyed school, but don't think I will do any more full-blown degrees, unlike Justin who now has a bachelor's, 2 master's and is working on a 3rd one.
Our oldest son is named Tyler, just turned 10 ...Expand for more
(but thinks he's 21) and is in 4th grade. He is a very good student, likes to ride dirt bikes, wrestle, and play football and baseball. Anything to keep him moving around and busy is fine with him. Our youngest, Cade, is 7 and in 1st grade. He is very much like his brother in his interests but not in looks. I will post some pictures soon.
We just bought a beautiful new home in May. We are finally all moved in and organized. It feels good to be settled somewhere. This is the longest we have ever lived anywhere, thanks to the military and college, and we are glad it's back here in Pagosa! Home sweet home!
