Meleece's Story
After graduating I went to business school at Boise then came back home to work for awhile. Shortly thereafter Jim and I got married, had a daughter (Christian) and moved to Eugene so Jim could go to the UofO. While in Eugene I worked for a magazine distribution company as a distribution clerk while Jim attended school. In that time, we also had 4 more daughters (Rachael, Sephora, Arkady & Corynne). We then moved to Albany where Jim worked at LBCC as a computer geek :-) and I worked for a heavy equipment sales company. In 1984 we were sooooo tired of the smell we decided to move to the Seattle area. Jim went to work at the U/W in the computing department and I at a one of the medical centers as a bookkeeper. ided it was time to work closer to home. I work for 11 years at a Voc Rehab firm. I then decided to retire from bookkeeping and do something else. I tried my hand at pharmacy and loved it. I am now a pharmacy tech in a clinic and wish I have done this earlier. Jim is still at the U/W and is Director of Streaming Media for UWTV and Research Channel. Our girls are all grown and we have 3 grandchildren (2 boys / 1 girl). In our spare time (far and few between) we play music, sail, camp, fish, golf and attend Renaissance Faires. We have had the opportunity to travel to India, Scotland, China, Europe and much of the US. I couldn't ask for more. As for the Breast Cancer, I have had 2 recurrences (in the lungs) but with the grace of God and a phenominal oncologist I am a 20+ year survivor.
