Melinda's Story
Life
I'm not here to brag about accomplishments or where I've been because I know there are a lot of people who don't have the same advantage as others. I'm here to let you know what I've been up to in the last 20 years. I've been married/divorced twice, no kids, but I've been with the same company now for 10 years and enjoy what I'm doing. This person was no ordianary person but the best friend anyone could ever have, a person that wouldn't give up even though the odds were against them, a person who loved everyone regardless of race, age, or their past, a person that was a fighter to the end, and someone whom I will always admire. This person is my Mother. On that day, I lost my best friend, someone I could always count on to be there for me whenever I needed someone to talk to or just hang out with and she was like no other mother, she would step out of the mother role and just be a friend and tell you the truth no matter what the truth was. But that is the only day in my last 20 years that I wish I could take back because the rest of my life has made me the person that I am and stronger and I wouldn't change any of it.
