Melinda's Story
I live in Columbia, SC with my husband and our 3 children and 10 grandchildren. We have 5 boys and 5 girls ranging in age from 11-21 yrs. Our oldest grandson is in the Army, one of our granddaughters will leave for Clemson in the fall for the pre-med program, another grandaughter graduated early and is currently taking college courses and will be a dental hygienist,they are very active in sports and we have 2 who excell in school soccer as well as varsity swimming. They all live on our street, so needless to say we stay busy. George has retired from building and developement of subdivisions but we are in a family hospice, Abbey Road and we all as a family have some form of job there. Mostly volunteer work for the kids. amily pet. It has been a great experience for them and hopefully they will grow to understand how important it is to gain knowledge from those much older and wiser than they........We love it here in SC, the beauty of the beaches as well as the mountains which for us are an easy 2-3 hrs, the colorful falls and magnificent spring days and the people. George and I have been very blessed and are in good health all be it a round of cancer for me..but all is well and I get glowing reports every 3 mos. I too do volunteer work for hospice which I find to be very rewarding,travel,and always look forward to our visits in St. Augustine. Wow, it is growing in leaps and bounds...Well that is pretty much all...life is good and hopefully there are many more years ahead.......p.s. facebook is also a fun way to keep in touch
