Melissa's Story
Life
Just an update. A daughter in college and a son about to graduate high school. My companies are doing well over 70 employees. Took the kids to Israel last year, loved it! Fell in love with Santa Fe, hiking, cycling, art, music and great food! May have to open a buisness doing something that way when retire. Ran my first hale marathon, placed 7th and won my 1st Triathlon, Grand Master. My boyfriend and I just purchased a titanium Tandem,Santana. Man is that bike fast! Can't wait to take it on a tour.
Most important in my life is my relationship the Lord and my family.
I have two wonderful kids. My daugther Brenna is 15, but looks 18 and my son Jon 13 is already dating. I also have 3 horses and 4 dogs and a iguana that lives in my sons gaming room.
My house is the "hang-out" house. I have a swimming pool, pool table, pingpong table, go-cart, sand volleyball court , and game room. I don't mind the loud...Expand for more
music and the kids running in an out. I just want kids to have a safe place to come and have some good clean fun. I keep the cooler full of soda and water and hamburgers on the grill.
I work, manage my household, teach Sunday School and Battle, Co-Chair PTO and read at least ten pages of a book everyday, on weekends much more. We eat out every meal unless I am entertaining, even breakfast. And I still keep my girlish figure, but with a few more wrinkles every year.
Workplace
If you would have told me when I was in high school that at 47, I would be part owner of four companies and the VP and CFO of one of these, I would have said what a great fantasy. I did go to college and get a degree in nutrition. Worked in a hospital for 10 years. Boring. Now, I manage and own a fire sprinker, (2) fire alarm and (1) realestate company. I am always learning and growing and I am never bored. Stressed, but never bored.
