Melissa's Story
Life
I can't really say that not much has changed in my life. I got married back in July 2000. After a lot of frustration planing our wedding, I gave up and suggested that we elope. He agreed and I found a place down in Niagara Falls called The Little Wedding Chappel that would marry us! The night before our wedding, we went to find this place so that we wouldn't be late the following day... we found it and it was a very nice little place, only the hysterical part of it was that it was attached to a motel call The Pink Flamingo Inn with pink flamingos out front and on the room. I think that I almost died when I seen that, but now I find it very hilarious and can't wait to tell my daughter about it.
Daughter, yup that is right. After only a month of trying I got pregnant and on October 7, 2003 at 6:33 am, after 22 1/2 hours of labour I finally had my baby girl to hold in my hands. She is perfect in every...Expand for more
little way, but what mother doesn't say that about thier children. We named our daughter Madelyn Betty (Betty after my grandmother who passed away). I have enjoyed every minute of being a mom. I can hardly wait until I am able to welcome another child into our lives !! :)
I never ended up pursuing my dream of becoming a nurse. I started, but ended up not conituing on for personal reasons. I eventually do hope that I can, but I have a lot of work ahead of me before that can happen. I ended up going back to college, but took medical administration and I now work part time for a family dr. I love my job, which is something I never thought that I would say. I think that is has something to do with the patients and getting to know them all on a more personal level !!
I think that is about most of the changes in my life. Other than that I am the same person I have always been, just a little older !! :)
