Melissa's Story
Life
Joined 165th Airlift Wing, Georgia Air National Guard in Feb 86. Married Job Gutierrez in Dec 86. Traveled extensively with ANG to many US cities to include San Francisco, Honolulu, Niagra Falls, St. Louis and many other "non-romantic" ones. I joke with my husband that I have traveled to all of these romantic cities WITHOUT HIM! Oh well. . My second child, a boy, Logan, was born in June 95. My third son, Noah, came along July 01. I was hired as a civil service employee in 1996 and I'm approaching my 16th year with the ANG! I can see the light at the end of the tunnel. I graduated from the second level of professional military education, Non-Commissioned Academy at Knoxville, Tennessee in June 1999. I reside in the big city of Claxton still, retired from the military on 2 Jul 06, and I'm currently working at Georgia Southern University.
