Melissa's Story
Life
I graduated with an A.A.S. in May of 2006 from Galveston College. They liked me so much that they decided to keep me!! I am now the Faculty Secretary for the Division of Academics. I have been asked to teach Medical Coding in the Spring of 2007 if the class makes. I have a super-smart 7 year old daughter!! I am happily divorced!! My life has been weird, to say the least, but I find that I am in an extremely comfortable place right now. I would love to hear from lost friends!!
Workplace
Well, I have mostly worked off and on. I was a stay-at-home mom for three and a half years and then I went back to college. I got my job before I graduated and I am still here. I really like my job!! It's like I get to be with my friends all day, and I get paid!! I have been working here since the beginning of March, 2006, but I started taking classes here in 2003, so I have been here a long time. Yes, I love it here!!

make myself sick with all this trying to be positive crap!! The truth is, you try and try and try, but only end up in the same spot that you started at. I quit my job to be in the Radiography Program. I made straight A's. Hurricane Ike took everything. I had to drop out. I went to SFA for a minute, but my living arrangements didn't work out. So now I am in BFE in Oklahoma. Forgive me for not being my usual jovial self, but good grief. Did you actually read my time line? I even left out a huge chunk of crap. Did you notice that my husband died? Like dead? My daughter's father? Where is he? Your guess is as good as mine. We didn't hear too much from him after the divorce. I didn't even mention that Hurricane Rita screwed me up as well. Anyway, I guess I went overboard when the directions said to tell them who you really are. Apparently, I am one strong woman to have survived all of this and still raise my daughter!! In any event, have a lovely day!!
