Melissa's Story

Life I have been married for 16 years now and have a beautiful daughter, Rebecca, who is 15 years old and an 21 month old son named Francis Adrien. I still live in NJ since I can't seem to get out. My husband works has his own Website and Advertising business in NJ. I just graduated school and now work at a doctor's office as a medical assistant and medical coder. I just work to get out of the house and to relax. We are planning to go to Italy soon. I did my family tree and have found so many cousins over there, who I hope to visit real soon. School While growing up, I did move around alot, but there were 2 schools I remember the most: Little Snake River elementary, where I had a crush on Aubrey McWilliams (who used to hang out with the biggest bully in our class) and used to chase him around the school during recess with April Rubidioux (I think that was her name). I think the elementary sidewalk might still have a dent from all the roller skate accidents I had (6 to be exact). I was only there though from 3rd to 4th grade (1982-1984) before we moved, but still remember some of the friends I had and also my favorite teacher, Mrs. Cobb. This town had a lot of history to it, which I believe started my love for Archaeology. Akron Elementary in Akron, Colorado where I was in 5 and 6th grades (1984-1986). I didn't have any crushes here, although at the end I did date a boy named Joe Drum ( if only for a week). I do still remember the sleepovers with Melanie Anderson and all of my friends, and the carnivals every summer at the fairgrounds. I also remember the town swimming pool (where everyone hung out during the summer and also where I finally learned how to swim), the 10 cent store, and the Pharmacy which doubled as an ice cream parlor ( I hope that never died, cause that was one of my favorite memories.) You don't see that in New Jersey. My girlfriend and I used to go to a minimart to buy drinks for school, since my mother always forgot to pack one, and my father would always catch us (he was a police officer) thinking we were playing hookey. re was a drive in theater not to far away from this town, I think in the town of Bush, which my father took us to every weekend. On the day I left, the teacher threw a sad party where I was given a card with everyone's names and phone numbers written inside and a ruby colored ring to remember them by. That was the worst day of my life, having to say goodbye to everyone and crying the whole time. I may have lost the card during the move, but I still have the ring and still remember you all and the town I loved the most. I wish I had never left. College I remember so much from this school and I miss it. I miss the friends I had and would like to get back in touch with them. I do really miss Tara (Rudy) and Scott (Willow) (who made my days the best ever, although I do still talk to you two), Ben (nickname: Sben) who created the most sickening yet colorful food art with our leftovers in the cafeteria and then listened for the cafe. dishwasher's responses to his "artwork" on the tray. (Very Gross but Funny), and Remind me to never run towards you when we are both drunk. Good thing there was grass behind us, Joseph Losh (who left an empty spot in our group to pursue classes at another school.), Michael Edwards, Mary Hayes (nice end of the year party, but I think we broke the wall- haha), Lisa, Chris Munson, Jenna, Christopher Santora and Paul Malley (who I am still so very sorry for putting shaving cream all over your 4x4, but what goes around comes around, esp. after what you did with those ice cubes, although maybe that was a little too much of a prank. I do also remember the fun times we had at the Pub.) I also miss the stories and revised songs we used to write in the computer room. Wish I had kept them all. I wouldn't have changed any of it and would gladly do it all again. You guys were the best friends anyone could have asked for! Would very much like to get back in touch with you all sometime, although I am only a gold Member on this for three months, maybe I will find you all sometime. I am renewing my marriage vows and would like to see you guys there.
