Melissa's Story
After High School, I completed a Bachelors degree in Political Science at Queens College/CUNY. There I discovered that I was destined try to impact directly on societal issues by working in
human services. I have spent the last 20 years (give or take 4 or 5 yrs) working in youth programs, counseling parents, doing employment training and and teaching workshops in everything from conflict resolution to program management. In the mid 90's I went to live in Ghana, West Africa for 2 years,

ngs I was a DJ on the radio. At the end of the 90's I slowed down, got married and had 2 beautiful boys. I'm now divorced, completed a Masters degree in Adult Education and planning to teach at community colleges and anywhere else
I am called. I moved upstate NY in 2005
in search of a quieter, less expensive
lifestyle for me to raise my boys.
Life is simple, and at the same times
society makes it complex, I enjoy the
contradiction.
I am looking forward to see what the next chapter of my life will unfold. :-)
