Melissa's Story
I went to Tomah public schools throughout my entire childhood starting in Kindergarten at Oakdale Elementary (didn't attend Pre-K) and eventually graduating from Tomah High School. After high school I went to Viterbo College in La Crosse and got a Bachelor of Business Administration in Human Resources graduating in December 1996.
I have two boys, Caden born in June 2011, and Connor born in June 2013, which keep me busy and light-hearted. They keep my sense of humor in check. ( I'm the person at the store whose cart has two boys making "diesel truck sounds!")
I work in Madison, but am still the all country girl you remember. The one that grew up on that driveway that you can't get up without 4 wheel drive in the winter. The one who got in trouble with her parents for sending her friends home filthy/muddy after her 4th ...Expand for more
grade birthday party. . . what a wonderful idea-- let's have a food fight first and then go outside, get out the hose and have a water fight! (Yeah, on March 2nd!)
I'm a music junkie -- frequently you'll still find me listening to our old "hair bands" -- yeah, still got those CD's in my Traverse. In fact, I went to see Def Leppard, Foreigner and Tesla in October 2015 and liked it! My tastes in music however go beyond the big hair. . . and I hope to see more of them soon with friends.
Well ultimately, I've grown up a little. . . enough to be responsible, but not enough to lose sight of the big picture. It's great to keep in touch, as Prince would say, "to get through this thing called life." The best way for doing that these days is Facebook. . . good luck! (There wasn't even internet when we graduated from high school.)
