Mellie's Story
Hello everyone...especially class of '67. Finally retired in October 2009 after 36 yrs. in law enforcement but haven't slowed down much, in fact, I have been working out too much and I know I need to slow down. . You may not remember me in high school, I was the quiet inactive one but not now...try to stay active in sports and workouts, especially running and still competing in track and field, at the Police Games & Senior Oympics. I competed in Bench Press and Deadlift August 14this and took my age diviision but that was easy as I am the oldest woman to have competed in the Nevada Police & Fire GAmes but....I beat out women 20 yrs. younger and got awesome trophies for Best Female Masters Ben Press and Best Female Masters Powerlift..how do you like that!! Also competed in track & field and took the gold in shotput, discus, javelin, opted out of sprints this year but next year, watch out! Hope all of you are doing fine....stay safe.
