Mellissa's Story
2014 - Hi. I hope you have all had a great journey over the years. In June my youngest graduated high school. I am so proud of him. This Fall my 2 boys have left the nest and this mama is struggling with her empty nest!! I am so proud of my babies and to see what fine young adults they have all become... I must have done something right along the way!?!
We'll on to the next chapter of my life. Getting ready for my second Islet Transplant and praying this one is the last. I have had an amazing summer with Zahra/Dean Kotsos & children and Yvette/Orson and their boys.
I am grateful for my amazing hubby, Trevor! He has been my rock over the years with all the challenges I have faced with my health. Maybe we will get some hunting in before the weather gets too cold for me. Sad that I missed out on gopher shooting this fall. Hoping it will be great to sit out in his blind and enjoy nature while he waits for the elusive buck, elk or moose to stroll by. Hahaha It's one of his two favorite things!
After this transplant I am looking forward to our next...Expand for more
trip, Trevor's 2nd favourite thing. He loves to keep me guessing and I love the surprise... just as long as it is warm, I will follow him where ever he wants to go! Lol
Here is hoping the next 20 years are just as favourable!
Hugs and all my best!!!!
2007 - Hope everyone had a great summer! Any special trips. My last was to Dominican and hope to go on another in the next year or two. Somewhere in Mexicoo, with my hubby, to play in the sand and snorkle tons. My two boys are growing fast, hitting the teen stage. Wish me luck. So far they have great respect for others and I hope they continue to carry this in their life. My husband is a great partner and a wonderful role model for our boys! He enjoys hunting and this year both boys will be going hunting with him. I wouldn't mind hunting... yes, there is a but, but I hate the cold! I am a wimp in the snow. I can keep the home fires burning... lol I hope to recover from my frozen shoulder and from surgery, want to get active again. Best wishes as the weather turns cold and winter soon blows in!!!
