And now, the rest of my story...
I would love to be a nudist but most of my current activities require that I wear clothes. I am a member of the Society for Barefoot Living. I am usually without shoes, even in the winter.
I am a Triple Taurus: I am a Taurus Sun Sign & Taurus Moon Sign & Taurus Mercury Sign, but I am Libra Rising, so that adds a little spontaneity!
I am a member of Amnesty International, PETA, Greenpeace, & The Christian Witch Society. Yes, you can be a Christian AND a Witch. Christianty is a religion & Witchcraft is an art. The Hebrew & Greek words that were translated into the English word "witch" are both mistranslations of 2 separate words with completely different meanings. Feel free to ask me more!
I am a vegetarian, a tree hugger, & am into yoga & meditation.
I love getting tattoos & getting pierced. I have 4 tattoos. Places I am or have been pierced: 6 lower earlobe, 2 upper earlobe, 1 tragus, 1 eyebrow, 1 navel, 1 Monroe, & 1 nostril.
In High School, people would probably remember me as the chick who dressed weird, shaved parts of her hair & braided other parts. I was in the Color Guard (Flag Corp) & was captain my Senior year (1985).
I am part of Clann Stiubhart (Stewart Clan) of Scotland. My husband Charlie is part of Clann Rois & Clann MacMhordha (Ross Clan & Moore Clan) of Scotland. I have 2 wonderful step-sons who are growing into wonderful young men.
Speaking of step-sons & such, I am part of a well blended family! My older brother Tim & his wife Beth have 1 son (Ethan) turned 8 this year. In 2007 they adopted a little girl from China (Anna) who just turned 2 in September. My younger brother Craig & his wife Michelle have 1 son (Graham) who just turned 4. Michelle was previously married & has other children: (1) Sam, who is 16---(2) Sara, who married Aaron & have 1 daughter (Gretchen Mackenzie) who is 2 years old & 1 son (Silas) who was just born in September---(3) Jenn, who married Andy & have 2 sons (Colin & Aiden). WOW!
As for my 2 step-sons: I taught church school to little Jacob when he was in the 2nd & 3rd grade, but I never met his parents or his older brother. So what a shock when I met Charlie & there was little Jacob, all ready to go into the 4th grade! I also met little-but-growing Craigory who was going into the 6th grade. That was in 2001. 11th grade as a Junior at Grove City High School. Those years went really fast---we were having alot of fun!
In June of 2007, we moved back into the old neighborhood, into my childhood home, to care for my dad. We knocked out a few walls to create a sacred spiritual gathering place. Pics of the remodel are in the photo album.
Our summers are spent at Celtic, Bluegrass, & Eclectic Festivals. We hope to someday make it to Bonnaroo & Burning Man.
Our favorite beverages (besides sweet tea & coffee) are Guinness, Smithwick's, Beamish, Murphy's, Harp, Tennents, & moonshine.
My family & Charlie's family can all be found in 3 adjacent counties in Eastern Kentucky: Johnson, Floyd, & Knott. My dad & Charlie's dad both grew up together in the same small Kentucky town of about 300 people. Yea, we have a few of the same cousins...by marriage, though, not by blood.
We have a menagerie of Pets: Ernie the Boy Bulldog (aka Fatty McButterpants)--Nieda the Girl Bulldog (aka Sweet Cheeks, the WaddleClump)--Murphy the Bunny (aka Murphalicious, Murphtaculous<he even has his own Bunny Superhero song we wrote for him>)--Buster the Goffin Cockatoo (aka Jungle Chicken, Bubby, Punkinhead)
After high school, as I was working on my degree, I spent 2 years working for the Southwestern City School District as the Franklin Heights High School color guard instructor. In 1987, I was accepted in the Canton Blue Coats Drum & Bugle Corp & toured the Eastern US & Canada. We placed 11th in the World that year!
I graduated from OSU with a BA in Sociology & Criminology & began working as a private investigator. I also worked at a halfway house helping ex-cons return to society (some of my training included police ride-alongs & crack raids and also teaching anger management classes in 2 Ohio prisons as part of an internship).
I spent about 10 years in the banking industry researching lost funds & fraud.
As I continue my education, I am currently working as a laison between business owners & the Ohio Bureau of Workers Compensation. I am an ordained minister and am continuing my education at the University of Sedona & Metaphysics. Within the next 6 months I look forward to earning my Doctor of Divinity.
I have served in a variety of outreaches including missions to Appalachia, New York City, & Chicago, running a Coffee House, being a Home Church Pastor, & planting new Vineyard churches.
I have been gifted as an Intuitive Healer & Seer. I have over 25 years of study concerning The Old & New Testament, Pseudepigrapha, Apocrypha & Other Sacred Writings.
I help people experience healing through prayer, Reiki, color & crystal therapy, chakra cleansing, guided meditation, and light & sound therapy.
I give Life Readings using ogham, runes, & the Celtic Oracle Deck & I love drumming in a Drum Circle!
