Melody's Story
Life
Back in High School:
Confused, lost, and scared. Desparate for safety. Chronic run-a-way.
Life in my 20-30's:
Interesting, a journey to the future with lots of side paths to travel.
Life now:
Fantastic, waiting to see what the next 20 years bring.
I have two grown boys. I remarried and changed my name from Wright to Left. I teach exceptional education to high school students and am working on my PHD in Exceptional Education at FAU. I have a store named Aquarius, which is a water treatment and pool supply store, and a restaurant (Hidden Cove Cafe) should be opening in February (08). OK, it was supposed to open in February. I have no idea when it will open for real. It all depends on the powers to be. Life is busy, fun, challenging and exciting.
Just for fun: answering the story ideas:
1. What would surprise people? I think they would be surprised to know how scared and insecure I was.
2. Which teacher would I want to see? I am terrible with names, but it was the teacher who taught my 11th grade English class. I got a D in it, a...Expand for more
nd deserved it, but worked harder and learnt more than I did in any other class.
3. The wildest thing I ever did in High School was to skip class and go to a porno movie with TOBY (Hugh Tobin). I did not even know such things existed then.
4. What happened to my first crush? Speaking of Toby...forever in my heart, unfortunately also in someone else's now.
5. How do I hope people remember me? Different than I do? or, maybe I should say I hope they don't, then I could make up some good stuff?
6. To be truly happy...I would be doing just what I am right now, but maybe with the lottery winnings to make it easier?
7. Life? What is the biggest surprise? How much it can change day to day and year to year.
8. If I could have 1 do-over, it would be to have contacted Toby the last time I ran away from home.
9. My wierdest job was as a cab driver for Ft. Lauderdale Yellow cab. (long story behind that one)
10. Where have I lived? All over the states (except the NorthEast. On the streets, in a car, in a mansion, a camper, and a boat. Now, just a plain old house!
