Merilus's Story

Life I last attended Paris in 1958 prior to marriage to Powe,[pronounced "Po"]. We have three children and five beautiful grandchildren. After completing my education I taught and coached at the highschool level for four years. At the age of 51 I retired from the position of Athletic Director for the local City and County Parks and Recreation Dept. after our second grandchild was born in order to completely expierience the joys of "grandparenthood". We currently live in Myrtle Beach near our only son, Earle, who graduated from West Rome High School in 1979. He owns and manages an internet ra...Expand for more
dio station and advertising company. He has two children. Our daughters both live in Georgia; the oldest in Rome who has two children, a daughter who is 16 yrs. of age and a new baby boy born on March 7th, 2007. Our youngest daughter lives in Jasper ,Ga. and has one child, a son who is now 15 yrs.old. After retiring from the U.S. Treasury Dept.,[Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms Div.], Powe continued to work in the public sector as president and Co-CEO of a corporate security/investigative company based in Atlanta, [Norred and Associates].
