Merri's Story
Life
I've been happily married to Bruce since 1999. We have two beautiful daughters, Madison and Amanda. I graduated from Oglethorpe University in 1990 with a Bachelor of Science degree. While attending OU I ran cross country, was an officer in my soroity, was a member of several honor societies, and worked as a Resident Assistant. After graduation, I taught high school science for 4 years and coached cross country and track and field. During that time I graduated with my Master of Education from Georgia State University. uated in 1996 with my PT degree. After working at Gwinnett Hospital for one year I was offered a great job in an outpatient orthopedic clinic as a clinic manager. Soon afterward I met my husband, Bruce. Our girls are now 9 and 7. We now live in Alpharetta and Bruce works in the marketing department of The Weather Channel. I stayed home with the kids when they were little and now work part-time as a PT during their school hours. I also am still very active with my sorority, serving as their Panhellinic delegate, on the CAB at Oglethorpe, and as a member of the National Scholarship Committee. I have been a Deacon at my church and VP of the PTA at my daughter's school.
