Michael's Story
Trying to tell about the 50 years of living since graduating Annandale is an impossible task, but here's all the best parts in the Reader's Digest version. Syracuse University after Annandale. Transferred to and graduated from Univ. of Maryland in 1970. Began 22 year career in broadcasting with ABC affiliate in Washington DC. Had a conversion experience in 1976, joined a small church, began pastoral studies and was ordained in 1984. Married and was blessed with a son, Noah and a daughter, Leah. ome Chaplain and later Exec. Dir. of the Frederick Rescue Mission working with the addicted and the homeless. Left the Mission and began pastoring an inner city church in 2001 serving up to 200 meals a week and providing recovery services for those in the "struggle." Retired from active ministry in 2012 and finally found a wonderful woman who "gets me" and yet still wants to share with me the craziness I call a "normal life." Phyllis and I were married New Year's Eve/New Year's Day 2015 and we're now looking forward to some exciting shared adventures and long motorcycle rides...for the rest of our time together.
