Michael's Story
Life
I arrived in Germany at the age of 17, 12/1980, and was assigned to the HHB 3/35th FA, Peden Barracks, Wertheim. I had the time of my life there. 3 years total, loving every minute of it.
I made many friends and would love to be in contact with them. I made many local civilian friends and I am in contact with many of them.
I have returned on a number of occassions to visit and had a great time always. I even went back after a marriage separation in 1988, and stayed for a year. I work in a near by factory and stayed with a friend. I had a really good time during that year and even made some military friends. I would love to be in contact with those guys.

n boys for over 20 years. Recntly, I decided to take a break from that and now I work in Landscape and construction supplies as a sales man.
I have 4 beautiful children 2 girls 24, 20, and 2 boy 20, 18. Still divorced.
I plan to return to Wertheim and visit my friends one day soon. It has been almost 20 years since my last visit, but I do keep in touch with my friends via email and phone.
Funny thing is, when I discharged from the Army I was 20, 08/1983; and after 3 years of being able to drink legally and serving my country with pride, I was not able to legally drink or even enter a bar. Ironic, huh?
