I have been in the Navy for over 18 years, and for some of you from my high school days that may still remember me, that notion probably seems rather fantastic. It is true however, that like many of you, I reached a point in my life when I was prompted to change direction and become more responsible, and contribute to society. I miss having long hair at times, and at times I miss partying it up with old friends. The life I have chosen to this point, however, is very satisfying, and much less worrisome. I'm certainly not paranoid about the police, because I have nothing to hide anymore (ie. no "roaches" in my ashtray, or driving after drinking too much, etc.). I have chosen to walk a less risky path through the remainder of my life, with a wonderful and supportive wife and 4 beautiful healthy children. I thank God for my family and friends everyday. I give more credit and gratitude to my Heavenly Father for many more people and things than I have ever done so before.
