Michael's Story
Life
Graduated and went back to the states for college.
Started at William & Mary ended up at University of Alaska.
Graduated, married Diane Dement. Went to Navy flight training and a Navy carrier aviation career Divorced Diane Dement. "Saw the world" again.Remarried. Picked up a MBA. Commanded a squadron in Kennedy during Desert Shield and Desert Storm, personally flew 43 combat sorties and brought all my people back alive. Air Officer in Kitty Hawk and Constellation cruised WestPAC and WestLant.Retired in 1993.
Did an executive job at Cornell University and then went to do legislative liaison in private sector for three years.
Served as a bank director for five years, elected to Board of Education, ran... unsuccessfully.....Expand for more
for Legislature, managed three successful legislative campaigns. Formed and founded private agri-business concern and a private banking and legislative affairs firm. Then joined SUNY-ESF in Syracuse as Director, Government Relations.
Two children Tom 18 at Washington & Lee University and MaryCate 16 at Christian Brothers Academy a private college prep school.
Spend 6-10 days a month in DC and a few as possible days a month in Albany doing legislative kinds of things.
College
Started at William & Mary in September 1968, left for University of Alaska in 1970 and graduated in 1973. Attended University of LaVerne in Los Angles for an MPA in 1976-1978. Attended Marymount University in Arlington, Virginia for an MBA in 19887-1989.
