Michael Cassady:  

I earned a B.A. in Education in 1973 from the University of Detroit, a M.A. in Commercial Art in 1981 at Wayne State University and a M.A. in School Administration in 1988 from Saginaw Valley State University. I have been an educator for over the past thirty-six years and am retired as of July 1 of this year. I taught the majority of those years in Art and Social studies. I was also the Director of Communications for Fraser Public Schools and the District Arts Coordinator. At one point in my career I was interviewed for the Principal¿s position at Cousino High School but instead took the Central Administration position in Fraser. I have owned a couple of businesses along the way in Graphics and Photography. I was appointed by the Governor for three terms, 1993-2004, as a Trustee of the Michigan Public Schools Employees Retirement System and ended up as Vice President of that Board. My wife is Dr. Mary Cassady and we have two adult children, Charles Jordan and Sara Chantal. Our son is an M.D. in Radiology at Morristown Memorial Hospital in NJ near New York City.
