Michael's Story
Life
I've been pretty lucky to this point in my life, the people that are close to me are happy and healthy for the most part, I've got the two greatest kids in the world, even though things didn't work out with their mom, we are still friends and she sees them often. I've travelled and done more by 30 than most people do in a lifetime. I'm still active and into sports, know more about the powerpuff girls and power rangers than most Marines would like to admit but overall I'd have to say life's pretty good these days.
Workplace
I always wanted to travel, the Marines have certianly allowed me to do my share of it. ...Expand for more
I was in Desert storm, involved in Somalia and Kosovo as well as humanitarian efforts in Turkey after the earthquake in 1999. I've enjoyed visiting too many countries to name and had more friends than most people have in a life time. I've had the oppertunity to change jobs without starting over since enlisting, I've been stationed in california, NC, Va, Tennessee, and South Carolina, not to mention one West-Pac and two Med floats. I've attended 3 years of military schools and worked as an Avionics tech and Computer tech. I have worked for and with some really special people and enjoy knowing that we make a difference.
