Michael's Story

More about Michael:"For those I haven't seen in a long time... I had a stroke when I was in my early thirties right before our daughter was born. I had to retire early from (C&S) Bank of America when I had finally become a VP. Through a lot of strenuous days of hard therapy, I regained my speech and mobility of my right side. I still have a little trouble in these areas, but it doesn't keep me down. The blessing was that I got to stay at home with Hannah when she was growing up. a survivor! I decided to take a little snowmobiling trip three or so years ago to Michigan and well, with my luck, totaled the snowmobile. Here's some advice: Trees DON'T move. I broke my wrist that was affected by my the stroke, as well as had cracked ribs. I honestly am surprised and happy I'm still alive and kickin! About two years ago, I suffered a secon stroke. (I know, I know!) It was on the same side of the brain as the first one, but definately did not do the same damage as the first. Because of new technology, while I was in the hospital, they found out I had a hole in my heart that had caused both strokes. About a month later I went back in and they patched me right up! God is so good! So, there's a brief synopsis of my life so far and I'm loving every minute I have on this great earth! Oh, I have a beautiful wife of 27 years...Tammy Davis Fambrough. We have an amazing daughter named Hannah who is now 21 and at UGA!".
