Michael's Story

Life Well, I finally have a college education. In May, 2005 I obtained a BBA in Management. I was briefly employed in a retail management position that was quite a bit of fun. Once again, however, an injury resulted in my having to leave that position. I'm healthy again and looking for a new job. I'm also exploring the option of returning to school for a graduate degree and/or my JD. Over the past few years I have run into a couple of the class members. second career at the age of 39. What fun! I can no longer remember how many posistions I've applied for, much less the different idustries or job categories. If I get a response from a company it is either "We can't afford you" or "We don't have a high enough opening that fits you education and skills". At least I have a small trust inheritance that covers the bare minimum... Jan, 2009 Ahh a new year has arrived and, thanks for this wonderful economy, I'm still looking for a posistion. I'm actually considering leaving TX for work in another state. I've had an interest in teaching, at the college level, for several years now. I've decided that I will pursue my Ph.d. in the near future. I'm just trying to figure out how to pay for it.
