Michael's Story
School
My highschool memories are so crazy for the pure and simple reason, I was yanked out of school so many times.I finally dropped out my junior year after attending three different highschools. My freshman year I attended Porum High,Peoria High and Auga Fria High.My sophomore year I attended Auga Fria High and Porum High,by this time my credits were so screwed up I thought I'd never finish highschool. My junior year I started at Auga Fria and knuckled down with my counselor and got my credits straightened out where I even had a short day my senior year. Then surprise surprise I WAS YANKED again, only this time I lost almost all of my credits for the year.So not only would I not have a short day the following year ,I wouldn't even get to finish with my class. At that point I lost faith in the system and just went to work.I've been working ever since and if I had to make the same choices over again I would because I'm happy where I'm at in life.I have a solid business that I can...Expand for more
handle on my own and make a good living without killing myself doing what my family has done for three generations.
College
I never had the privledge of going to college but that has not stopped me from doing everything in my power to get my children there. My oldest son is now a software engineer working for Microchip,my daughter is currently attending and my youngest son is so bored with elementary he can't wait to go.
Military
I never enlisted but I had to play the part of worried parent after my father passed away.My two younger brothers enlisted right out of high school just about the time the former president Bush went to the Gulf.I spent many a white knuckle moments when all of that was going on.In truth it was the best thing for them at the time,I had a young family my father had just passed away and thy really needed the stability and focus the military provided. So while there were some scary moments thy both came out of the service better men,the key word being men.
