Michael's Story
After my 26 year career at Yard Birds came to an end, I joined the Union and worked for a drilling company, traveling and working all over the west coast for 10 years. Quite a departure from my previous career! My wife and I decided to retire early and build a cabin on the property in Montana we had purchased in '94. ent working on our cabin, my latest project being a solar/wind electrical system. We lived here part time for the past 5 or so years, but now are full time, since my retirement. We built our cabin of materials salvaged from many sources, including the old Carlson berry farm near Winlock, now a glass plant.Our place is in the middle of some of the best deer and elk hunting in Montana and only a mile or so from the Musselshell River, so we are never bored!
